HE REPRSENTS ALL THAT WANT TO MAKE A POSTIVE IMPACT AND MOVE ENUGU STATE FORWARD.

HIS VISION, AGENDER AND MANIFESTO FOR ENUGU STATE ARE ALL CENTERED ON BASIC AREAS NAMELY (SECURITY, EMPLOYMENT, WEALTH CREATIONS, BASIC HEALTH CARE, INFRASTRUCTURE AND EDUCATION)

             My dear friends, well-wishers, indigenes, supporters and fellow citizens of greater Enugu State. I greet you all with joy, peace and happiness from the depth of my heart. My vision for us all is born out of desire to transform our greater Enugu State into a society where love, fairness, inclusiveness, equity and justices are seen to be the order of the day. Where citizens will be in tone with activities of government to ensure equitable and judicious deployment of material and human resources to make positive impact in lives of citizens. I’m extremely privileged to be a part of this amiable society, I beaconed on all well-meaning citizens of Enugu state, youth in particular and Ndi Igbo in general to join hands with me to restore greater Enugu state of our dreams. 
           There comes a time in the life of every society when a fundamental transformation is inevitable to right the wrong in such a society. I vehemently believe that such a time is now in Enugu state. I’m making a crayon call to all youth of Enugu State and Ndi Igbo both home and abroad to rise up to change the existing status quo in our society through political process and use people centric policies to bequeath a viable society to our generation unborn. Martin Luther King Jr said “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter” The youth of Enugu state should as a matter of urgent come out in numbers to form a formidable force to take center stage of governance in Enugu State. We can no longer take back stage, the time has come for the youth to be at the forefront. We must take the bull by the horn and pilot the affairs of Enugu states to higher level of industrialization and technology driven society. May I present myself at this juncture as the divine instrument to actualize Enugu State of our dreams. I knew is not going to be easy, I believe with your collaboration and God on our side, we will definitely actualize our purpose and desire to move Enugu State forward.   

                 My names are Chekwas Hagai Wilberforce Okonkwo, son of the soil and true son of Agbudu in Awgu local government area of Enugu state. I have a pedigree of leadership and service to humanity is inbuilt in me. I have impacted lots of lives positively through charity, funding education of people at various levels, providing medical support to people in my locality, sending food material to widows across Enugu State and beyond. My vision is to achieve an enviable society with vibrant economy that will project Enugu state into main stream of global community. We are going to galvanize and assemble best brain, experts as team from Within us to pilot the affairs of the state to ensure the wishes and aspirations of a common man in the society are fulfilled. I have been on the street of Enugu for the past 51 years of existence on earth so I knew the problem militating against the survival of youth in Enugu state. I strongly believe if given genuine opportunity to serve, I will tackle the challenges holistically. We want to bring to abrupt end youth marginalization in governance in Enugu State to entrench people-oriented government that will not go to sleep while Enugu is boiling. A government  that will not look on the past failure but focus on the future success, a government that will gather what had been battered, chattered and scattered in Enugu state to transform the state into a mega city that will be a center of attraction for investors all over the world. However, in a very nutshell. Our vision and mission will be centered on the following agenda.

Education
Massive infrastructures
Accessible and quality health care delivery
Job creation
Youth empowerment
Welfare services to elderly and children.

 We are banking on your support and collaborative effort to actualize our dreams, yes, we can collectively print our names in sound of history of this great state. I call on you to join this movement to move Enugu state and Igbo nation forward. YES, WE BELIEVE WE CAN.

Abuja-Kaduna train attack inhuman, wicked, wrong and devastating – Okonkwo Chekwas The currently Governor aspirant of Enugu State Mr Chekwas Okonkwo in his statements has described the attack on the Kaduna bound train from Abuja on Monday as unpropitious, miserable, evil and cruel. Lamenting on the ugly incident, Chekwas who commiserated with families of the departed souls also wished the hospitalized victims speedy recovery. He urged security agencies to work assiduously in rescuing kidnapped victims, adding that the perpetrators of the evil act must be brought to the wrath of the law.
